If a spring fails, the mandatory safety anti-drop brake engages to prevent the shutter from crashing down. We reset this system once the new spring is fitted.
When a shutter drops violently, the interlocking steel slats (laths) and nylon end locks often shear off. We slide in replacement sections on-site.
